An invite from Veronika Miller of Modenus, will get you to rearrange your hectic working schedule. This was a not to be miss shopping blog tour, especially when you add wonderful sponsors like, KBIS 2013, Liebherr and Capital. This event had a goal to raise money for a family that was devastated by Hurricane Sandy. Now that is a brilliant way to start the holiday season, by shopping for a cause and networking with like mind bloggers. Thank you Veronika!

The food was divine, but the company was delicious. It was a stylish way to get to know one another and get a little gaga over meeting them face to face as I've been admiring their work for years.

It was wonderful to chat, hang and shop with fellow bloggers, Tamara Stephenson of Nest by Tamara, Sarah Sarna of Live The Life You Dream About and Mindy Miles Greenberg of Encor Decor to name just a few. The best would have to be shopping with the iconic interior designer, Mary Douglas Drysdale. We both hit a few shops together and practically shut down one. More on that later, but here were some of my finds:

First stop Calypso St. Barth Home. Off the heels of my previous events on spotting the new design trends for 2013, I did happen to catch a few.

At Calypso, there I found those hot trends for next year. Spotted were hides with metallic animal prints and over scaled furniture pieces that would enhance a look in any home.

| Urbio Planters |
Last stop was at must shop stop on my list. I just had to make sure I hit Bobby Berk's boutique. He invited me to HGTV Star & Interior Designer, Sabrina Soto's book signing earlier in the year. (So bummed work got in the way that day) After viewing her apartment on Open House NYC, I just had to see those cool wall planters that would make great holiday gifts for my NYC apartment dweller friends.
Some may know I am a big advocate for shopping boutique. I'm sharing Sabrina's shopping tips on how to do it and of course how she incorporated many of the stores that were on our tour. Click on the image of Sabrina's apartment and see how these wall mounted planters literally come to life in Sabrina's home.
Sabrina, catch next time!

It became impossible to shop. Bobby was such a gracious hostess. Most of us spent our time relaxing a catching laughs on his comfortable merchandise. Wine kept flowing and so did our hilarious conversations. At one point to ensure we all stood connected, we tapped into Bobby's Wifi to friend each other on Facebook. You can only guess how hysterical it was to know that most were already befriended, but with the time it took to connect with these social devices, it was just easier to keep drinking and we did.

It was a such a fun time and the event raised well over $2000 to fund a great cause. I personally want to thank everyone who participated and embrace a new blogger with open arms and laughter. I also want to thank Veronika Miller for creating lasting memories and warm hearts this holiday season. Till the next tour! Cheers.
